An amazing opportunity came up to co- produce an album this last summer in LA . I'm excited to hear this album project finished an mixed. It was a blast to work with Kevin who co-produced the Hymns record I recorded in Sacramento. He asked me to come aboard for the pre production and the live tracking of a long awaited LP project He'd been dreaming up of for a while.
Being on the floor of a beautiful studio with my dear friends James McAlister on drums, Jon Button on bass & Kevin cutting live takes to 2" tape was a real joy. We shared many sweet moments hanging and playing togther. We sent a few of the tunes over to one of my favorite keyboardist Garth Hudson in New York for some organ and accordion overdubs. Garth is one of Keven's heros. it's insane that he heard the tunes and wanted to play on it.
Those who appreciate music that hasn't been edited to death, listening to live musicians who played together, beautiful songs sung by a great voice you'll like this.
Available on Vinyl , electronic download, maybe cd of this record should be available around early spring 2013.
